essential first step, even if you eventually plan to use HTML "editors"
such as Front Page or Dreamweaver. Learn to incorporate text, graphics,
"links", and interactivity into your web pages and post them for the
world to see. Also learn how to get your web site listed on search

colors. This course will begin with a quick review of basic HTML and
then proceed into image maps, forms, tables and frames. Also discuss
CGI programming, Java and plugins. Learn what they can do and how they
relate to HTML. Related issues include electronic commerce, secure
transactions and Internet marketing. This course assumes basic

Web Site Design Designing a
web "page" is one thing. Creating a web "site" is another. A web site
lives or dies on its appearance, ease of use and speed—at least as far
as how it is perceived by your intended audience. Before you begin
writing your web pages you must develop the overall design,
organization, navigational scheme and style of the site. Learn from the
pros the importance of style, size, speed, layout and organization of
your pages and graphics considerations such as formats, size, color
reproducibility and popular graphics software. NOTE: Knowledge
of the Internet and experience creating and implementing HTML files is
strongly recommended. Richmond/Kirby
