What Makes a Good Instructor

Teaching ability
Teaching is more than just reading from a book and doing rote exercises. A good instructor understands the underlying concepts and can communicate them.

Experience
Personal experience using the software in a real-world situations gives an instructor a great deal of insight into how to use a program effectively, solve problems and come up with novel solutions. Sometimes a single obscure technique makes an entire class worthwhile to some students.

Good students
LLU does everything possible to make sure people are in the right class for the right reasons (see "screening"). One of the biggest problems in the computer training business is people enrolling in classes they don't need or are not ready for.
