The comprehensive Computer Literacy USA test is currently under development. To get a feel for the coming test, see "Test Previews" in the column to the right. Each test will be randomized so that no two tests will be alike and specific questions will be asked in different ways. This will make it difficult to prepare for by trying to look for all the test questions (it would be much easier to learn the material properly than to cheat). The questions will fall into six major categories:
The questions will be very basic, only covering that knowledge considered essential for self-sufficient computer use according to CL-USA standards (see "Setting Standards"). There will be no charge to take the test, and there is no limit to the number of times an individual can take the test. To become certified computer literate, the test can be taken at an Authorized Testing Location for a small fee. A CL-USA card will be issued that will be recognized by CL-USA partners and sponsors who will offer discounts and other incentives for their products and services. |
