Computer Literacy USA is an organization consisting of a group of companies and individuals that recognize the need to establish a simple, realistic and common sense definition of computer literacy with the following goals in mind:

* To seek input and endorsement from others regarding basic computer literacy standards.

* Create a free, web based computer literacy test that can be used by schools, businesses and individuals.

* Award computer literacy certification.

* Encourage companies involved in computer related products and services to give preferential treatment to those who are certified computer literate.

* Provide certified individuals with a list of companies that recognize the importance of computer literacy as defined by Computer Literacy USA.
